JALITE Low Location Lighting systems were first installed on Offshore Oil exploration platforms as early as the 1980's responding to a need to supplement the battery powered emergency lighting and to aid evacuation under smoke conditions.
With the adoption of low location lighting as a requirment by IMO with its resolution A756(18) JALITE participated to help elaborate ISO 15370 to implement the requirements on board passenger vessels.
ISO 15370 is currently under systematic review and revision and recent findings concerning the relationship between the width of low location lighting and the luminance properties of the material are being used for this revision.
JALITE AAA largely exceeds the minimum requirements of luminance even at low lighting levels giving confidence that installations can meet the needs of ISO 15370 at reduced width. The systems gain in aesthetics and performance improving the scope for use.
Further details and technical specifications concerning width of location lighting available on registration.
